The American filmmaker Spike Lee, director of classic films as She's Gotta Have It (1986), Do the Right Thing (1989), Jungle Fever (1991) and Malcolm X (1992), made for this purpose a visit to the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry (ICAIC), according to the website of the institution www.cubacine.cu.
At the meeting, which took place in perfect harmony within the natural exchange of experience, Lee confessed his interest in Cuban culture and also expressed his intention to work with ICAIC in the future, within a suitable project for both parties.
The website www.cubacine.cu also reports that the filmmaker drew attention to the importance of preserving Cuban culture from the homogenization that globalization brings, a prominent risk in these times, after the restoration of relations between Cuba and the United States.
