With the aim of continuing political consultation mechanisms between foreign ministries that perfect dialogue on bilateral affairs, Cuba and the Republic of Artgentina signed in this capital a memorandum of understanding.
The document was signed by Bruno Rodriguez, Cuban Foreign Minister, and by Hector Marcos Timerman, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the South American country, who is in Cuba on an official visit.
Prior to the ceremony, the Argentinean Foreign Minister described as excellent relations between the two countries, in which "we will establish more and better friendship ties and mechanisms for this to be effective; we believe that these years have been very fruitful," he pointed out.
Timerman demanded the end of the unjust economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on the island, and called for the immediate return of the territory illegally occupied in Guantanamo.
