A delegation of 14 companies from Ohio arrived in Cuba to establish business relationships with companies of the Cuban government.
"Much of our delegation shared the hope that the embargo will soon come to an end and we can have normal trade relations between us," said the spokesman of the delegation, Luis Alcalde, at the opening of a forum with Cuban officials in commercial areas.
The idea of the meeting is to better understand the Cuban economic system, the new foreign investment law, adopted in March last year, and the scope of the new regulations in the United States after the relief of some sanctions on trade with the island.
Before the meeting, the delegation visited the Special Zone Development Mariel (ZEDM), a free zone under construction that aspires to become an attraction for foreign investment in the island.
