With 191 votes in favor of ending the economic, commercial and financial embargo on Cuba, the international community expressed once again its massive and overwhelming rejection of this policy implemented over five decades.
As in previous years, the United States and Israel opposed and this time there was no abstentions. With today's result, it would be 24 years in a row voting in favor of the Cuban draft report in 1992 condemning the genocidal policy of the US Government.
Despite having restored diplomatic relations with Cuba last July, the United States has kept this policy against Cuba, that even its President Barack Obama acknowledges it has been a failure.
