A delegation from the US state of North Dakota, the fifth largest exporter of agricultural products in the US, arrived in Cuba to explore business opportunities.
"This is an opportunity to strengthen the relationship and expand the market for our agricultural products, as for example with China and Vietnam, and in this case we see the same potential benefits," told Agriculture Commissioner of that State, Doug Goehring, who led the mission to the island in a press conference.
Goehring also noted the quality of the food farmers produce in North Dakota, which in previous years have traded with Cuban state company Alimport. Among the highlights exports are beans, potatoes and lentils.
