Minister of International Relations of Quebec visits Cuba

Christine St-Pierre, Minister of International Relations and La Francophonie of Quebec, arrived in Havana on a working visit, in the early hours of Monday, November 2.
This visit is the first of a representative of her range to the island. St-Pierre will have a meeting with the Deputy Foreign Minister Rogelio Sierra Diaz. She is accompanied by the Canadian Ambassador to Cuba.
St-Pierre will attend FIHAV, the main commercial appointment of the island, where several Quebec companies are involved, which investigate business opportunities with Cuba. Quebec exports to Cuba mainly high-tech products for a total of 81.7 million dollars.
St-Pierre will also meet with senior representatives of the Cuban authorities in order to deepen political relations of Quebec and define ways of cooperation especially in education, health, agriculture, tourism and research and science.
