Representatives of the United States and Cuba began yesterday the first dialogue on the extradition of fugitives wanted by the US Justice and who are allegedly on the island.
"The dialogue will focus on areas of cooperation in law enforcement, including mechanisms for sharing information and fugitives," said the source, who requested anonymity.
A State Department statement said that "the talk also focused on a range of areas of cooperation, including the fight against terrorism, drug trafficking, transnational crime, cybercrime and security in travel and trade”.
