Cuba achieved its second victory in the 2015 WBSC Premier 12 by beating Puerto Rico 8-7 in match held in the Intercontinental Stadium of Taichung City, Chinese Taipei.
Cuba's victory came in the tenth inning with the application of the IBAF tiebreaker rule, when with one out and runners on first and third, Puerto Rican defense failed when trying to make double play.
After losing 5-1 in its opener against Canada, and its two victories by beating the Netherlands and Puerto Rico, Cuba will face with best options its two remaining challenges to Chinese Taipei and Italy, in order to becoming one of the four teams qualified for the group A of WBSC Premier 12 to the quarterfinals.
