Cuba and the US launch joint marine preservation project

Cuba and the United States are presenting on Tuesday the results of a joint study research on the preservation of sharks, during the 10th Congress of Marine Sciences which focuses on the conservation of the sea surrounding the island and the fishing of marine species.
The director of the Cuban National Aquarium, Guillermo Garcia, said that the large US participation with over 100 experts favors significant debates and bilateral exchange.
The forum is running till November 20 with the participation of 290 Cuban specialists and another 120 experts from 12 nations, who are considering 37 presentations by US delegates among other papers.
