His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, arrived on an official visit to Cuba, in Sunday afternoon, November 22, the Cubaminrex site reported.
Cuba and Qatar established diplomatic relations in 1989 and have ties of cooperation in the fields of health and tourism. Since 2012 a hospital owned and operated by Cuban health professionals works in that country.
During his stay on the island the president will hold official talks with Raul Castro Ruz, President of the Councils of State and Ministers, and also develop other activities.
