The Italian airline Meridiana began on Monday, December 21, its flights to Cuba, with which connects the cities of Havana and Verona, reported the Cuban Tourism Ministry.
The Havana-Verona-Cancun route will have a weekly basis and will be operated jointly with Blue Panorama. Besides, Meridiana travels to Cuba on three charter flights: Milan-Varadero-Santa Clara, already operational; Milan-Rome-Havana-Rome-Milan and Milan-Rome-Havana-Rome-Milan.
Meridiana joins airlines which have decided to come to Havana or increase their number of flights, as in the case of Austrian Airlines, Air China, the US Jetblue and Mexican Interjet.
