Spanish businessmen highlight investment opportunities in Cuba

During a meeting organized by the Spanish Confederation of Organizations (CEOE) with representatives from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Economy and Competitiveness, Spanish businessmen and government officials have extolled the business opportunities that Cuba offers right now.
Joaquim Gay, vice president of the CEOE and head of the International Relations Committee, highlighted at the meeting the widespread presence of Spanish companies on the island, especially in the hotel industry and tourism.
Gay emphasized the opportunities of the Special Development Zone Mariel, located about forty five kilometers from Havana, as it provides fiscal and corporate consortia to be installed in its advantages. He stressed that Cuba is a big market for foreign investment.
