Cuban Lazaro Alvarez beats profesional boxer in Rio

Cuban Lazaro Alvarez (60kg) debuted with victory in the boxing tournament of the Olympic Games.
Alvarez, owner of three world titles, defeated 3-0 (30-27, 30-27 and 29-28) Italian Carmine Tommasone, one of the professional boxers participating in the Olympics, as reflected the site official website of the contest.
With that triumph, the Cuban boxer showed his serious aspirations to the awards podium as he beat a rival that exhibits record in professionalism of 15 wins without losses.
So far, the Caribbean delegation remains unbeaten in boxing, as Johanys Argilagos (49) and Erislandy Savon (91) emerged victorious on Monday.
Argilagos, last year world champion, defeated 2-1 Galal Yafai, from UK; while Savon, silver medalist at the 2015 world championship, won 3-0 over another British, Lawrence Okolie.
