Cuba’s Telecommunications Company, ETECSA and the US telecommunications company AT&T, have concluded negotiations and signed Agreements of Direct Interconnection for the exchange of international voice traffic between the US and Cuba, as well as for the roaming of voice, text and data for AT&T customers who travel to Cuba.
According to the Institutional Communications Department of ETECSA, these agreements will make it possible to offer phone call services through direct interconnection between the two countries.
Once the implementation period and technical tests now performed by both operators conclude, customers of AT&T traveling to Cuba will be able to use their mobile phones in the network of ETECSA.
