Condolences from Cuba for earthquake in Italy

The Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) sent a message of condolences to the movement of solidarity with Cuba in Italy, following the earthquake that occurred in that European nation, reported on Thursday the local Foreign Ministry.
On its website, the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs published the ICAP note, dated August 25 and signed by the president of that institution, Kenia Serrano, the Granma daily reported.
With deep sorrow we knew about the tragic news of the devastating earthquake that struck central Italy with a provisional balance of at least 120 deaths and hundreds of people injured, reads the text.
It adds that ICAP sends all the solidarity and support of the Cuban people to those affected and is confident in the overcoming of the difficult times experienced by Italians after the earthquake.
According to information from this day by the Italian Civil Protection Department, the death toll as a result of the earthquake reached 248 and the figure of injured persons is about 400.
