Based in Cocal Quinqué International Therapeutic Community for the Rehabilitation of Addicts, in this eastern territory, the forum constitutes a high commitment to the challenges of mental health, to contribute to the development and effectiveness in the assistance of this problem, which every day grows and destroys more people.
The International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking was established by the UN General Assembly on June 26, 1987 to strengthen actions that counteract this global problem, helping to generate a world commitment against this threat which endangers millions of people.
According to the UN Information Center, drug abuse is one of the 20 major health risk factors in the world, and is also in the top 10 in developed countries.
