On arriving in the island, Winston Williams told the Cuban press about the interest of his country in receiving assistance from Cuban sports experts in the areas of sports medicine, the fight against doping, athletics, volleyball, tennis, cycling and physical education.
Williams is accompanied by a delegation of the directive board of his ministry. They were received at Havana's Jose Marti airport by Roberto Leon Richard, the first vice-president of the Cuban National Sports Institute (INDER).
During his stay in the island, the Barbudan official is expected to sign collaboration accords with Cuba in the area of sports. He is scheduled to meet with Jose Ramon Fernandez, head of the Cuban Olympic Committee and Cristian Jimenez, the INDER president.
According to his working program, Williams will visit the International School for Physical Education and Sports, and the Anti-doping Control Laboratory in Havana.
