"He was a great artist and a family myth; it wasnt easy to take on such a legacy," confesses his brother Juan, a guitarist and composer whose music has long transcended the borders of his country.
Juan Falu, 58, is in Havana for the 16th International Cuban Book Fair that has Argentina as its guest country. The artist will play several concerts including a 5:00 p.m. performance on Friday at the Casa de las Americas cultural center.
Juan Falu is a reference point of Latin American guitar music and obviously of his home country. His many albums include Con la guitarra que tengo, Luz de giro, Las canciones de Horacio and Manos a la obra.
The 2007 Cuba Book Fair opens Thursday and continues in Havana through February 18 before spreading out to 40 cities and ending in Santiago de Cuba on March 11.
