A father has requested help in locating his son, who has been missing for several days in the municipality of Alquízar, in the province of Artemisa. Jorge Luis Cruz González sought information this Monday to find his son Jaiser Ardiel Cruz Rosabal, 22, and a resident of Alquízar, who is currently missing, according to his social media post.

“Please, if anyone has seen him recently, call me. I was told he was spotted in San Antonio de los Baños,” Cruz added in his notice, where he provided the phone number 52004234 for contact in case anyone has information about his son.

The post does not specify the date when the young man was last seen at home, nor does it provide details about his physical characteristics or the clothes he was wearing the last time he was seen.

In the comments on the post, the father mentioned that he would report the disappearance to the police on Wednesday. As of the time of publishing this note, it is not known if the young man Jaiser Ardiel has been found.

Frequently, social media posts about missing Cubans are made by family members and close friends due to the lack of an official state channel to make these cases visible. Last week, the disappearances of 18-year-old Alexey Brossal Cumba in Santiago de Cuba and Marleivys Martín, a mother of two girls who was last seen leaving her home in Nuevitas heading to the city of Camagüey, were reported.

Two cases that have shaken the public and kept families on edge are those of young mother Karildi Marín, who disappeared on December 14 in Havana, and three-year-old Lali Paola Moliner, who has been missing since February 25.

Lali Paola was last seen with her mother, Teresa Moliner Baso, who was found dead with signs of violence near the coast in Cojímar, east of the capital, a day after both went missing. However, the child remains missing.
