Elioveliz Pérez, the young man who has earned the nickname of the Cuban 'José José' due to the similarity of his voice to that of the Mexican artist, surprised his mother with a very special gift this past Mother's Day.

Alongside a group of mariachis, the young man performed two songs for her that surely made the day unforgettable. "Happy Mother’s Day, my dear mom, I love you. You deserve this and more," wrote Elioveliz on his TikTok account along with a video where he and two female mariachis can be heard singing "Canto a la madre," a song originally performed by Pedro Fernández.

In another video, he performs "La Malagueña," a beautiful traditional Mexican song attributed to Elpidio Ramírez and Pedro Galindo Galarza, which has been covered by numerous artists such as Luis Miguel, Ángela Aguilar, and Miguel Aceves Mejía, among others.

Although Elioveliz did not choose to sing songs by José José on this occasion, his renditions of the most popular and well-known hits by the "Prince of Song" have earned him much praise on social media.
