Through his social media channels, Limay Blanco has highlighted the plight of a Cuban mother with two children living in the open, using scraps of materials she has scavenged, mostly from the trash. With the completion of this project, he hopes this will become the 37th house of the 'Cristo Cambia Vidas' ministry, thanks to generous donations.
In a video posted on his social media, Limay showcased the deplorable conditions these individuals live in, including an elderly man. "The 'Homeless Case' involves a mother with two children and an elderly man living in terrible conditions," Blanco explained in his Instagram post. He added that they reside in a makeshift shelter constructed from tarps, nylon, cardboard, and even pieces of iron sheets.
To achieve his goal of providing a proper home for these people, the comedian shared a list of needed items and requested the solidarity of those who can donate. He mentioned that a team is working on repairing a masonry house, but to deliver it with all necessary amenities, they need: plates, cups, fans, a television, and a wall mount for the TV.
He also listed a bunk bed, two personal mattresses, a refrigerator, and construction materials. At the end of March, Limay Blanco handed over the 36th house to a young Cuban girl with a disability, nicknamed "the pink girl" for her love of the color pink.
Limay, accompanied by his wife Glenda Medina, presented the home to the girl's family, who previously lived in poor conditions in Havana. The moment was particularly emotional as the comedian had arranged for the family to visit a house where they thought they would receive clothing donations for the girl.
However, during the visit, the girl's mother received the surprise of finding the keys to their new home inside a small box, which was actually the same house they were in at that moment. The young girl, who is very affectionate, immediately hugged the comedian with excitement. The news brought immense joy to the entire family, who then toured the various rooms of their new home.
