Talented Cuban Contestant Receives High Praise from Talent Show Jury: "You Have the Best Voice of the Season"

Alexander Capote, a Cuban contestant on the U.S. television show "Tengo Talento, Mucho Talento," not only earned a standing ovation from the jury but also received a heartfelt compliment from Mexican singer Ana Bárbara. She declared, "You have the best voice of the season."

Capote's performance, shared on the show's Facebook page this Tuesday, features the Cuban talent known as “El Grande,” who resides in Tampa, Florida. His memorable rendition captivated the audience. Capote, known for his powerful vocal range, earned the jury's recognition with his impressive interpretation of the song "Cuando yo quería ser grande," written by Manuel Vaca Flores and famously sung by Vicente Fernández.

At the end of his quarter-final performance, Capote was not only applauded by the audience and jury but also received commendations from all the judges. Ana Bárbara highlighted him as a potential winner, praising his incredible vocal talent.

Don Cheto assured him, "From my side, you’re going to get a very good rating," wishing him luck for the rest of the competition. Meanwhile, music producer Pepe Garza remarked that his voice is spectacular but advised him to enjoy his performance more and to "relax more."

Singer Diana Reyes commented, "You have impressive power. This is the first time I’ve seen you, and you really impressed me."

Capote explained that participating in "Tengo Talento, Mucho Talento" is a dream come true, stating that he had promised himself to be a part of such a show since living in Cuba. "I want everyone watching me in Cuba through the weekly package to feel motivated," he said, noting that he had promised his loved ones they would see him on TV one day.

However, Capote expressed regret that his wife was not with him during the performance, acknowledging her support and companionship since their time in Cuba. "The first time I was on stage, I didn't even realize the judges had stood up," he recalled, referring to his performance in the eliminations with the salsa song "Que alguien me diga" by Omar Alfanno.

Other Cuban Contestants on "Tengo Talento, Mucho Talento"

Before Capote, other Cuban contestants have also participated in the U.S. television show, achieving applause and success. The couple Manuel and Llenay from Miami, aged 25 and 24 respectively, impressed with their pole act. They expressed their excitement before the performance, pointing out that it would surprise both the audience and the jury, according to the show's YouTube channel.

On another occasion, Giraldo Morelio, a rafter who left behind a daughter in Cuba, captured the jury’s hearts with his touching story and voice. The judges decided to let him continue his journey on "Tengo Talento, Mucho Talento." The young man from Orlando, Florida, chose "O me voy o te vas" by Marco Antonio Solís for his presentation in early April, as shared on the talent show's Facebook page.
