Monday, May 27, 2024 by Charlotte Gomez

A Mexican woman documented the touching moment when her Cuban in-laws arrived at Tijuana International Airport. Following a long-awaited embrace, she welcomed them with a traditional goat dinner.

"The day has finally come," said the woman, known as AlisaVlogs, in a video posted on Facebook. She was accompanied by her husband, a Cuban man named Pollo. "It’s incredible what I’m feeling; sometimes I pinch myself to see if it’s real," Pollo expressed, clearly overwhelmed with the joy of the family reunion.

Once the Cuban in-laws arrived, the scene was filled with beautiful moments of kisses and hugs. The welcome continued with a dinner featuring goat, one of the most cherished dishes in Mexican cuisine.

"This was the welcome we gave to the elders," AlisaVlogs noted, "and we shared a wonderful meal as a family, all together and happy to have these wonderful elders here in Mexico."

Recently, a user on TikTok shared a video capturing the emotional moment she arrived on the island to surprise her family. The touching moments were set to the background music of "Cuba, isla bella" by Orishas. The initial moments of sneaking up to the family home and the joyous hugs that followed moved many users, many of whom long for similar reunions with their loved ones in Cuba.

In a similar heartwarming story, Glendis Leyva, a Cuban star of the Chilean reality show “Doble Tentación” who now resides in Las Vegas, United States, welcomed her mother with two beautiful gifts: a room decorated with balloons and flowers, and the chance to witness her future grandchild grow. The model shared videos on Instagram showing the room’s decoration, the much-anticipated arrival of her mother to the U.S. less than a month ago, and the touching moment when her mother, carried in the arms of her son-in-law, saw the beautifully decorated room awaiting her.
