Lisandra Rodríguez, known as the "Cuban Amy Winehouse" due to her striking resemblance to the late British singer, has received permission to travel to the United States with her son under the humanitarian parole program.

While Lisandra herself has not yet commented on her trip via social media, sources close to her have shared the news and posted photos of her and her son at the Havana International Airport.

"She leaves Cuba on Parole, like a sunflower seeking light amidst the blackout. Safe travels, Amy of Cuba, Lisandra Rodríguez, and your son. Thank you for the friendship," wrote Cuban filmmaker Daniel Ross Dieguez on Facebook. He discovered Lisandra a few weeks ago while she was working as a waitress at the Escabeche bar.

Lisandra gained significant notoriety in a short time, largely thanks to Ross Dieguez, who shared images on social media highlighting her uncanny resemblance to the British star. Numerous independent media outlets quickly picked up on the story.

"Lisi, I hope your arrival in this great country marks the beginning of a new life where you can achieve anything you set your mind to and fight for your dreams. Your child will have the future and childhood he deserves," wrote Letty Orta in an emotional farewell message on Friday.

"Focus on the good things and the people who bring you well-being and positive advice. It's hard work, but you'll see the results of your efforts," she added.

"I'm heartbroken but also happy to know that you are finally free. Kisses to both of you," wrote Jacqueline Mayo Mujica.

In one of her live broadcasts on Facebook this month, Lisandra mentioned that she and her son were granted humanitarian parole since February of last year.

Lisandra's Recent Controversy

Recently, Lisandra made headlines again when she lashed out at the hosts of Con Filo for mentioning her on their program, implying that she was a victim of Miami-based communicators.

In the comments section of Con Filo's Facebook page and later in videos posted on her profile, Lisandra clarified that she is not aligned with Con Filo. She emphasized that she hates the "program," does not support their falsehoods, and refrains from speaking out publicly "out of fear."

Con Filo used her previous tense exchange with U.S.-based journalist Ernesto Morales as a defense. Lisandra had previously told Morales in a video that he should come to the island with his family to fight for Cuba's freedom, but that she is not Mariana Grajales. Con Filo's favorable reaction to her response only worsened her feelings about the encounter with Morales.

Despite her sudden fame and public gratitude to independent media, Lisandra was abruptly fired from her job as a waitress at a bar in Old Havana. She explained that she had been working "without papers," but the incident was perceived as politically motivated.
