New details have emerged about the tragic traffic accident that occurred on Sunday afternoon in Camajuaní, Villa Clara, which resulted in one fatality.
The incident, which left 26 people injured, happened when a Moskvitch collided with a Transgaviota bus traveling from Cayo Santamaría to the Abel Santamaría International Airport.
Henry Omar Pérez, who identifies as a communicator and a member of the officialist Cuban Association of Social Communicators, reported on his Facebook that the victim (the car driver) was traveling alone and died at the scene.
"Of the 26 injured, only 10 remained hospitalized, all without life-threatening conditions," he noted in another post.
He also revealed that "all the children involved in the accident (six) are out of danger and gradually leaving the hospital."
The deceased was named Rafael and resided in the village of Meneses in Villa Clara.
Images shared on social media show that his car was practically destroyed. The bus, on the other hand, overturned and lost all its windshield glass.

The bus was transporting 38 people from a tourist area to the provincial airport. The official press has not clarified whether any foreigners were among the injured.
