Yordanis Nieves Méndez, a 19-year-old Cuban who has been bedridden for two years under inhumane conditions, has moved many of his compatriots to offer their support. Influencer Alain Lambert, known as El Paparazzi Cubano, raised $1,000 on his show, which was handed directly to Yordanis.

"I am super happy with the support that the Paparazzi team has always given me, and once again, we show that we make a difference in the Cuban community," the YouTuber said on his Instagram account, accompanied by a video in which the sick young man thanked the donors.

From the United States, singer Osmani García and immigration lawyer Miguel Inda-Romero (known as the "sincere lawyer") are attempting to secure a visa to get Yordanis out of Cuba. After seeing the video Yordanis released this week, in which he pleaded for a humanitarian visa to receive medical treatment abroad, the reggaeton artist asked for a contact number to reach the young man.

"We're going to get you out of Cuba, man, 19 years old. Who has the number? This video has me on the verge of a heart attack; I'm too old for these emotions. Send urgent contact to the sincere lawyer," the singer urged on his Instagram.

The comedic duo Los Pichy Poys also commented on the bedridden boy's situation, noting that cases like his are seen daily in Cuba. "I feel so proud of our brothers, the sincere lawyer and Osmani García, who have joined forces to try to save this poor young Cuban who is desperately asking for help from the island," they said on Instagram.

"Thank you, Migue and Osmani, for everything you're doing. Not all heroes wear capes; some wear suits, and others go through life distributing music covered in tattoos," they added.

The story of Yordanis Nieves Méndez went viral days ago when he shared a video pleading for a humanitarian visa to receive medical treatment abroad after two years bedridden with no hope of recovery in Cuba. The young man finds himself in this tragic situation due to a medical error during an operation he underwent in his country following an accident.

The poor procedure left him bedridden, with a gastric tube and extreme thinness. Adding to the impossibility of receiving treatment to restore his health is the severe food scarcity and poverty in his home.

"I'm asking the world for help. Please, don't let me die here, a 19-year-old boy. Don't leave me in this prison," he pleaded. "I have no freedom, free me, please, I'm asking you. Be human and help me, I'm begging not on my knees because I can't move them, but..." he added.
