The young Cuban woman Karildi Marín has been missing for almost six months in Havana, leaving her family in a state of agony over her unknown whereabouts. Her brother, Yoandri Marín, expressed his frustration on Facebook, reaffirming his commitment to continue the search.

"It is inconceivable that my sister has been missing for nearly six months and we still haven't made any progress towards finding a clear answer about her disappearance. Time passes, but the pain remains the same and I believe it intensifies each day because the uncertainty is excruciating. Not knowing creates a constant dread about what could have happened," he stated.

"I only ask God to protect you and keep you safe from all harm. Your family will not rest until we find you because nothing can remain hidden forever," Yoandri added.

Yoandri believes that divine justice will prevail against those who have wronged his sister but also demands accountability from the authorities. "Solve my sister's case; time is passing, and it’s not just a day she's been missing—it's almost six months. We need answers," he emphasized.

Despite their sorrow, Karildi's family holds onto hope that she will be found. Her father shared a heartfelt message on Mother's Day via Facebook, posting several photos of Karildi as a mother, including one of her pregnant shortly before giving birth and others with her daughter, now just over a year old. "A path of blessings for my granddaughter and her mother," wrote Tomás Marín.

The distressed father criticized the police's inaction and lack of interest in the search for his daughter. "The officers involved in the case do nothing but sit around. I am sure that if it were one of their daughters, she would have been found by now. This is Cuba: if you don’t have a godfather, you don’t get baptized," he lamented.

Yoandri, who has tirelessly sought help online over the past six months to keep Karildi's photo and case circulating, has also condemned the authorities' inefficiency. On April 17, he criticized the police, stating, "Those who are supposed to ensure public safety are not doing their job correctly. There are no leads on her, so why, despite having provided tips, has no suspect emerged?"

Just days before the four-month mark of his sister's disappearance, Yoandri wrote about how much he missed her. "I've been under a lot of stress, even losing hair, which is why I decided to continue my workouts. I only ask God to protect my sister and help me find her," he said.

Karildi Marín, 24, lived in Párraga, in the municipality of Arroyo Naranjo, Havana. She vanished on the night of December 14th after leaving for a party in El Cerro, and no one has heard from her since.
