Cuban activist Yamilka Laffita, known on social media as Lara Crofs, recently provided assistance to Kendra Pineda Mesa, a young mother who earns a living by selling songs on the Malecón of Havana.

On her Facebook profile, Lara Crofs wrote, "We were visited by the talented and sweet Kendra Pineda Mesa, with whom we had already made contact on more than one occasion to offer help. The first time, we sent clothes for her children, school supplies, and the medications she needs to stay stable and create. Yesterday, we handed her $160 in cash; she mentioned she would use it to buy a water pump and some food."

Kendra Pineda Mesa, a mother of two children, is known for her daily presence on the Malecón of Havana, where she offers her songs in exchange for 100 pesos. Previously, she used to sell peanuts.

This recent financial support adds to the previous aid, such as clothes and school materials, she has received from various benefactors.

Among those who have extended a helping hand to Kendra is Lino Tomasen, known as "The Iron Man," who visited her to deliver donations of clothes, shoes, and money raised from his followers.

During his visit, Tomasen asked Kendra if she needed anything specific, to which she replied that she would like to have a guitar to compose Christian songs.

The condition of Kendra's home and the scarcity of furniture reflect the poverty in which her family lives.

Kendra's children are a five-year-old girl and an eight-year-old boy. In February, Cuban activists organized a campaign to support this mother who, despite the adversities, continues to fight for the well-being of her children.

Lara Crofs, for her part, has continued to organize initiatives on social media to keep helping Kendra. In her latest post, she highlighted the most urgent needs of Kendra and her family and encouraged more people to join the cause.
