The ARCA Foundation Sancti Spíritus posted two pictures on Facebook showing Yeiko active, healthy, and with his injuries almost invisible. "Our prince is almost healed; soon, they will be just small scars that love will erase, and his heart will heal alongside the family that adores him," the animal rights activists wrote on social media.
Last May, Yeiko underwent surgery that required more than 50 stitches. He arrived at the operating room with severe head injuries, including an exposed eye, which he unfortunately lost, along with a fractured jaw.
The animal rights group celebrated every step of Yeiko's recovery. "It's incredible how much Yeiko has improved; the wound is practically healed, and he behaves so well during his treatments," noted the organization, continuing the story of this dog who was the victim of a violent and cruel act.
