Another bizarre incident involving a funeral car has occurred in Cuba, a country where multiple bodies have recently fallen onto the streets from such vehicles. On Tuesday, one of these hearses—thankfully without a deceased occupant—fell into the Damují River in Rodas, Cienfuegos.

Several witnesses shared videos of the vehicle's "rescue," which involved a crane lifting it out of the water on Wednesday morning. According to a Facebook post by Justo Alonso, the driver sustained a head injury but survived the incident.

There are several theories about what might have happened. "They say the driver had just dropped off a case in Rodas. Some claim the car belonged to the offices in Cienfuegos, while others say it was from Santa Clara," stated Sahily P Cid on Facebook.

"People say the driver was somewhat 'happy.' He was incredibly lucky to be rescued by a good Samaritan passing by at that moment," she added.

Another local from Cienfuegos, Loly Vera, mentioned that the driver had fallen asleep. "Thank God they were able to rescue him," she emphasized on her Facebook wall.

So far, the authorities in Cienfuegos have not made any official statements regarding the incident.
