Bus Accident in Camagüey Leaves No Fatalities

A Yutong bus overturned on Tuesday on a road in Camagüey, fortunately resulting in no fatalities. Andrés San Román García, a member of the Facebook group "ACCIDENTES BUSES & CAMIONES por más experiencia y menos víctimas!", shared several photos of the overturned bus and some of the passengers.

The incident occurred in the afternoon, 3 kilometers from the Sibanicú municipality. "Camagüey towards the west, the bus, I believe it was rented, skidded on wet pavement; only material damages and injuries," he reported.

Several users confirmed that the bus was rented and generally agreed that this often contributes to the deterioration of the vehicles. Others pointed out that this stretch of road is very dangerous, especially when wet. However, a resident of Camagüey who was on the bus claimed that the driver was not at fault. "It was a rental car that overtook and suddenly braked in front of the bus. When the bus braked on the wet pavement, it skidded off the road," he explained.
