Iraisel Pintueles, the widow of Cuban singer El Dany, announced this Wednesday on social media that she will be moving the artist's remains to a private chapel to ensure their safety. The young influencer explained on Instagram that she purchased and renovated a private chapel "exclusively for the eternal rest in a dignified burial" of the renowned artist, who passed away on July 18, 2020.
Pintueles justified her decision by explaining that she wants to "safeguard the integrity of Daniel's remains" due to the high number of incidents at the Necrópolis de Colón, where notable deterioration of several graves has been observed.
"Unfortunately, we are living in very delicate times regarding the preservation of the integrity of the deceased, and given the circumstances, I have decided to protect his remains as much as possible from any type of disturbance or surprise," she stated on the social network, making it clear why she decided to relocate El Dany's remains to a private chapel.
The widow expressed her gratitude for the support and understanding, emphasizing her trust that the artist's followers would understand her decisions made "with the utmost privacy possible."
"With this, I inform you that his remains no longer reside in the previous tomb," she added.
Numerous artists have visited the former grave of the famous Cuban reggaetonero to remember the popular musician. One who never misses is his friend and colleague Yomil, who last April shared on his stories a visit to El Dany's resting place. Like many 18th days of the month, marking another month since his sudden passing, the Cuban reggaetonero went to the cemetery to bring "flowers for a brother."
