The story of Yeiko, the dog who touched the hearts of animal lovers after being the victim of a brutal machete attack, has added a new chapter of inspiration as he is now seen without the Elizabethan collar that he wore around his neck, once again showcasing his incredible recovery.

The ARCA Sancti Spíritus Foundation shared a photograph on Facebook this Wednesday, demonstrating the formidable recovery of the dog. Yeiko appears completely upright, active, and without the recovery cone that was placed on his neck following his surgery in May.

"My beautiful boy, today we took off the Elizabethan collar for a while, and his owner sent this photo. Yeiko looks handsome, doesn’t he? He’s a little cutie," highlighted the social media post.

This image reveals the deep joy felt by animal advocates in the province of Sancti Spíritus with each step forward in Yeiko’s recovery.

The post was widely celebrated by animal defenders, who praised Yeiko’s impressive recovery. They also highlighted the tireless efforts of the rescuers who saved his life and the unconditional love he receives from his family.

Recently, the ARCA Sancti Spíritus Foundation shared a reel on Facebook showing Yeiko barking at the street. This image is further proof of his remarkable recovery, especially significant given that he lost an eye in the brutal attack.

In the video, the dog is seen peeking out of the porch and barking at something that catches his attention on the street. In the background, a female voice can be heard saying, “Where is he going? He’s just making noise."

In recent days, another touching story was shared on social media when an animal protector from the province of Villa Clara asked for help last Sunday for a puppy that suffered a spinal fracture.

"You deserve all the beautiful things in this world, my Milagros," said Daime Pérez Ramírez in the Facebook group Society for the Protection of Animals in Cuba, while requesting help with diapers, Desitin cream, wet wipes, and any contribution for the puppy’s recovery.
