Saturday, June 22, 2024 by Zoe Salinas

Several districts in Havana have been severely affected by flooding due to the torrential rains hitting the capital this Saturday. The state-run journalist Lázaro Manuel Alonso shared multiple images and videos of the areas of Centro Habana, La Habana Vieja, and San Miguel del Padrón, where the water has remained stagnant on the streets.

"Intense rain + poor drainage + trash clogging the drains create the perfect scenario for these situations," the journalist wrote on his Facebook profile.
