The actress and host shared the news on her social media, expressing her gratitude and pride in representing Cuban women on this significant platform. “I have applied to one of the most enriching experiences of my life. Thirteen years ago, I entered a new world—not just entertainment, but the realm of beauty pageants. I discovered that behind what I had been shown, there was much soul, commitment, responsibility, and love for oneself, the stage, and the community,” Alina wrote on her Instagram.
Known for her participation in Univision's “Nuestra Belleza Latina” in 2014, where she was a fourth finalist, Alina thanked the Miss Universe Cuba organization for opening the doors of the world once again “to Cuban women, our ethnicity, values, leadership, empathy, flavor, tradition, ideology, culture, form, colors, and taste.”
In one of her stories on that social network, the actress shared her excitement about being on one of the most important paths of her life: “Representing Cuban women is no small feat; my heart is overflowing with gratitude.”
