Cuban Man Arrested for Inappropriately Touching Woman During Massage in Miami

A 53-year-old Cuban massage therapist was arrested this Tuesday by the Miami police, allegedly for touching a woman's intimate parts during a massage and later offering her money to keep quiet about the incident. According to an arrest report, Jorge Cardenio Destrades Llanes was detained at Massage Envy, located in Mary Brickell Village at 900 S. Miami Ave, as reported by Local 10.

The police were notified that Destrades had sexually abused a 28-year-old woman while massaging her thigh during a full-body service. The victim told authorities that Destrades offered her money "to not tell anyone." The arrest report explains that she refused the cash offer, but he then offered to send her money via Zelle.

According to the document, Destrades left the massage room and when he returned, he asked the young woman for her phone number to send the money. The police explained that he sent $200 through Zelle, but she "never received it." The investigation revealed that the woman provided an incorrect phone number, which was saved by Destrades in his phone with the victim's name.

However, the massage therapist defended himself, arguing that he felt the young woman was seducing him, and "it was then that he might have touched her vagina unintentionally," the report noted. Additionally, Destrades claimed that the woman asked if he could "pay for the massage," to which he agreed and sent the $200, the police said.

"He believes the victim was asking for money because he had touched her," states the report, cited by Local 10. Destrades was arrested by the police on a charge of sexual assault. A judge found probable cause to charge Destrades, who remained at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on Wednesday with a bond set at $7,500 and in preventive detention as the case continues to be investigated.

In April, two men from Miami, one of Cuban nationality, were arrested by the police after a sexual encounter with a third party got out of control. They intimidated the individual with a toy gun, illegally detained him, and assaulted him. The Cuban, Yoandry Mora Martínez, 25, and the Colombian, Ludwing Duván Ramírez, 26, contacted a man through the Grindr app and offered him money in exchange for sex. However, during the meeting, things didn't go as planned, and they threatened the individual with a fake weapon to get their money back, according to arrest reports.

In January, a 57-year-old Cuban identified as Andrés Perez was arrested in Miami and accused of sexually abusing his wife's granddaughter since she was seven years old. The victim, now 13, told police that the abuse began when she was seven, and that the man touched her, forced her to touch him, and showed her pornography, as reported by América TeVe.
