An accident occurred this Thursday in the city of Santiago de Cuba involving two motorcycles that collided at a busy intersection, resulting in at least two injuries.
Journalist Yosmany Mayeta reported on Facebook that the incident took place at the intersection of Escario and Segunda Street in the Santa Bárbara neighborhood. According to Mayeta, initial reports indicate that the driver of the red motorcycle, who was traveling along Segunda Street, failed to obey the "Stop" sign, which resulted in a collision with the other motorcycle that had the right of way on Escario Street.
"The injured individuals were transported to a city hospital, but their personal details and the severity of their injuries are currently unknown," Mayeta noted. He did not provide information regarding the presence of passengers on either motorcycle.
