Former boxer Lino Tomasen, known as "The Cuban Iron Man," has gifted a home to an elderly woman who lost everything in a building collapse in Havana. In just four days, Lino managed to gather the necessary funds to purchase the house for the woman, also giving her 30,000 pesos and 300 dollars.
"Look at the trust all these people had in me, those who donated their money so I could help this lady. That faith and trust are earned through many years of demonstrating love for others and dedication to what I do, which is helping people," he expressed on his Facebook page.
In a video, Iron Man thanked his followers, as their donations enabled him to buy furniture and household appliances. He gave special thanks to Milena Góngora, who, upon learning of the elderly woman's sad story, decided to contribute the remaining funds needed to purchase the property.
This is the second home Iron Man has delivered through his aid project for people in need. The first was given on June 20 to a mother with three children who also had nowhere to live.
