A 19-year-old Cuban woman tragically passed away on Friday, July 5, due to injuries sustained in a traffic accident involving the motorcycle she was riding and a truck in Maldonado, Uruguay.

According to the media outlet FM Gente, the young woman, identified as Haila Fiol Daudinot, suffered the unfortunate accident on Wednesday, July 3, at the entrance of Maldonado. She collided with a truck on Route 39.
"The young woman was traveling on her motorcycle on Route 39 and, just before entering Boulevard Artigas, in the direction towards Maldonado, she collided with the rear end of a truck that was turning towards the entrance of a yard," reported the local news source Punta News.
