Three former sports commentators who once worked for Tele Rebelde on Cuban television have reunited in the United States, where they have since emigrated. Yasel Porto, Reynier Batista, and Ángel Luis Fernández reminisced about their time together at the Cuban sports channel.

"Reunion of three good friends and colleagues from Cuba," wrote Porto on his Facebook page, "DPorto Sports LLC." Batista described it as "the opportunity to talk among colleagues." Both shared a photo of the trio in a family setting, where they appeared very happy to be together.

Several people commented on the posts, wishing the three well in their current and future endeavors. "A trio of excellent journalists and sports commentators. Blessings to all three," wrote one user. "Highly respected by Cubans here. Always wishing the best for these great professionals," added another.

One user mentioned that they missed Renier González to make a "Meridiano Deportivo at home," referring to a program on Cuban television.

Yasel Porto left Cuban television when his contract was not renewed in 2020. The reasons for his departure included dissatisfaction from the executives with his comments on "Bola Viva," as well as his opinions expressed in other independent media and on social networks.

Batista arrived in the United States in 2023. His first post from the country was at the Ioan Depot Park during a game between the Miami Marlins and the Houston Astros. The last to join was Ángel Luis Fernández, who arrived at the beginning of June, benefiting from the humanitarian parole program implemented by President Joe Biden's administration.
