The Cuban comedian Limay Blanco has made a heartfelt plea for assistance for a mother of three young girls who has been forced to live on the streets. The family is currently taking refuge in a dilapidated porch.
This past Sunday, Limay, along with his wife Glenda and former boxer Lino Tomasen, known as "The Cuban Iron Man," traveled to the neighborhood of Taco Taco in Pinar del Río to witness the deplorable living conditions firsthand.
Arriving at the village at 1 a.m. during a blackout, they found the woman and her daughters—aged 12, six, and one—sleeping on a makeshift bed. The mother was struggling to fend off mosquitoes in the open air of an old abandoned house’s porch.
Desperate Living Conditions
A few steps away, the family had placed a crib for the baby and other belongings under an avocado tree. The mother explained that she has been in this dire situation since Friday after being evicted by her own mother.
Limay and his companions provided the family with food and a rechargeable fan to offer some relief from the oppressive heat and insects.
During their visit, the woman showed Limay a nearby house listed for sale at $2,000. "With $2,000 USD, we can buy her a house," Limay stated on his Facebook page, where he streamed a live video of the visit.

Limay emphasized that if they manage to purchase the house, it will be the 40th home he has provided to vulnerable families. He also mentioned that the property would be registered in one of the daughters' names to prevent resale, as he discovered that seven of the 39 homes he has previously gifted were sold.
