Tiktoker Dairon Cano recently appealed for assistance on behalf of a Cuban doctor residing in the United States. Despite holding a license as a Medical Assistant and possessing over seven years of experience, the doctor has been unable to secure employment in the healthcare sector.

"I want to work in a clinic, in a hospital, anywhere in the healthcare field," the young physician expressed in a video posted by influencer @dairon_cano_champions on TikTok. "I'm open to learning whatever I need to learn and continuing to improve myself," he added, sharing that he successfully obtained his Medical Assistant license.

The tiktoker urged anyone who could help the young doctor to reach out privately. He emphasized the importance of supporting the Cuban professional, who, after doing all sorts of jobs, overcame numerous obstacles to pursue his dream of working as a doctor in the United States.

"He wrote to me on social media, telling me he was going through a very sad situation and felt a bit down," the Cuban influencer highlighted.

In March, Solidaridad Sin Fronteras and La Cruz Verde introduced an international medical assistance program in Miami. The initiative aims to replace the exploitative labor conditions faced by Cuban doctors abroad. According to local news sources, professionals who have deserted or completed their medical missions will be able to offer their services and expertise in Latin American countries.

The program is expected to benefit thousands of Cuban doctors and other international medical professionals residing in the United States who have not been able to validate their credentials but wish to practice medicine.

Additionally, in May, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed into law SB7016, creating new opportunities for Cuban doctors and other foreign-trained healthcare professionals. The law allows them to practice in the U.S. without the need to complete a residency period. This legislation marks a significant shift in the revalidation exam policies, aimed at addressing the growing shortage of doctors and nurses in Florida.
