This Sunday, just hours after it was revealed that former President Donald Trump was unharmed following an attack during a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday afternoon, a caravan of his supporters set off from Hialeah heading towards Mar-a-Lago, his official residence.

The news was reported by Telemundo 51 journalist Alexis Boentes, who shared photos of the caravan on his Facebook profile, featuring a sea of U.S. flags and pro-Trump banners. A video shared by the Mexican media outlet Milenio shows several people dressed in T-shirts with the former president's face and other Trump-related imagery.

The former president, who is vying for the official nomination by the Republican Party for the upcoming election, was injured during a rally in Pennsylvania after gunshots were heard. Trump was quickly escorted off the stage, where he had just concluded his final remarks before the Republican National Convention, scheduled to take place from Monday, July 15 to Thursday, July 18, 2024, in Milwaukee.

Hours later, Trump himself confirmed that he had been grazed by a bullet on his right ear. In another message posted on his social media platform Truth Social, he announced that he would address the nation from Wisconsin this week.

"Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers yesterday, as only God prevented the unthinkable from happening. We will not fear but remain steadfast in our faith and defiant against evil," he expressed.

The attack on Trump has raised serious questions about the supposed invulnerability that should characterize the protection system for a figure of his stature. The assailant was identified as a 20-year-old named Thomas Matthew Crooks, who fired from the rooftop of a building approximately 140 meters from where Trump was speaking. After being taken down by Secret Service agents, a semi-automatic AR-15 rifle was found near his body.
