In the Facebook group “Actores Cubanos Inolvidables,” user Carlos Lino Castellón Brito announced the sad farewell of the recipient of the Distinction for National Culture. “Farewell to Germán Navarro, the excellent director of our television. Eternal light for his spirit. Rest in peace,” were some of Castellón’s words in his message.
The audiovisual artist will be remembered for his participation in other essential programs such as Tía Tata cuenta cuentos, Amigo y sus amiguitos, and adventures like Tres Amigos and El Conde de Montecristo.
Additionally, Navarro was part of the casts of the first tele-classes in 1967, Palmas y Cañas, Cita con Rosita, Detrás de la Fachada, San Nicolás del Peladero, and Juntos a las 9, among others, as recalled by the Ministry of Culture's website in a tribute held in 2017.
