Facebook users have shared details about a dramatic accident involving three vehicles last Thursday on Avenida Boyeros in Havana. "A driver closed her eyes for a moment, which was enough to lose control of her car," they recounted. A person returning from the airport and passing by the accident scene at Boyero and Camagüey stopped to help. This person learned more about the incident from a policeman on duty there, as shared in the Facebook group "ACCIDENTES BUSES & CAMIONES, por más experiencia y menos víctimas."

According to the officer's account, a traffic cop was directing vehicles at the intersection where the accident occurred due to a power outage. "All traffic on Boyeros was halted, and Camagüey was open. The three vehicles were stopped when a Peugeot hit them from behind, first striking a microbus, then a gazzela, which in turn hit a Citroën," the report detailed.

The Peugeot driver stated that she "felt unwell, experienced severe pain, closed her eyes, and lost control of the vehicle for an instant, which was enough to cause the accident." According to the account, "the driver was traveling with her two young children in the back seat," and they received immediate medical attention. She survived because she was wearing a seatbelt, and the vehicle's airbags deployed, the witness explained.

The online commentator reflected that "there was no alcohol, no racing, no recklessness, no potholes, no missing signs, and there was police control. These are things that can happen and should prompt us to reflect" on driving responsibly and with great care, he added. Other users questioned whether the woman would pay for the damages to the other vehicles and urged drivers not to drive if they feel unwell.
