Karla Yisel Ramírez Garcel, Ricardo Molano Domínguez, Ailema Matos Rodríguez, Ián David Lorenzo García, and Marcel Gámez Salvo were the young talents who received these honorable mentions. The Cuban team also included student Damiam Fuentes Campos.
The participants faced two days of challenging math tests, featuring a total of six questions covering areas such as algebra, geometry, number theory, and combinatorics, which they had to solve in just four and a half hours.
