Grandma Martha Tells Her "Grandson" Ariel She Wants to Live to 100

Monday, July 22, 2024 by Michael Hernandez

Martha, the most viral grandma in Cuba, has all the determination and strength to live many more years and continue fighting like a true warrior. In a video call with her "grandson" Ariel Ramos Perdomo, Martha spiced up the conversation by singing "Qué viva Changó," while the young content creator danced enthusiastically on the other side.

During their chat, Ariel asked if she would consider going to a retirement home to avoid boredom. Martha's response was immediate: "A retirement home? Look at my house here, this one and the one downstairs, I have two, no way, you're crazy."

"You're the cleanup hitter for the Cuban team," Ariel told Martha as she enjoyed a plate full of yellow rice with two fried eggs. "I have to eat well because I want to live to be 100," she confidently stated, and Ariel remarked that she might even reach 120.

A few days ago, Ariel nostalgically recalled one of those moments when he and Grandma Martha sang her favorite song together: "Her song! Hearing it and not thinking of her is impossible."
