The mother of a 20-year-old young man, Eduardo Javier Mendoza, who has been missing in Mayabeque for a week, made a heartfelt plea on social media this Monday for any information regarding his whereabouts. The young man, who suffers from schizophrenia, might be experiencing a crisis, and she urgently requested that he not be mistreated.

"He's good and affectionate. Please don't harm him because he's in crisis without his medication," pleaded Marlenis Yilian in the Facebook group "Cuba Debate."

"I beg you, help me find my boy," implored the mother of the young man who has been missing since July 16. She added that he is from Melena del Sur, Mayabeque, and was last seen on the San Rafael Boulevard in Havana. The distraught mother mentioned that her son, who is also bipolar, has attempted suicide in the past: "I'm worried that something worse might happen since he has already tried to take his own life before."

In her post, she shared some identifying details about the young man, known as Ruru. He has a tattoo on his left forearm with a crown and his mother's name, Marlenis.

According to Haylen's post, the last time Eduardo was seen was at a beach in Mayabeque. The family is extremely worried about his well-being as he does not have his medication, and his condition could severely deteriorate.
