Ander Wanton Roca, the leader of the Compartiendo Corazones project, has called upon doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to assist in surveying individuals with chronic illnesses in various rural areas of Santiago de Cuba province. Wanton announced on Facebook that the goal is to conduct this diagnostic survey specifically in the rural communities of Tártaro and La Nita, both part of the municipality of Songo-La Maya.
The activist emphasized the need for volunteers willing to accompany him to the mountains for the survey when notified. He added that the aim is to "begin treating these diseases" after completing the diagnosis.
Wanton took the opportunity to thank those who sent funds, enabling the purchase of diapers, and all who support the missions he undertakes in the mountainous regions of Santiago de Cuba, where many problems are overlooked by the regime.
In recent days, this same activist delivered wound care kits and first aid supplies to remote areas of the province.
Additionally, Wanton and his project, along with the Aliento de Vida initiative, distributed clothing and other resources to people living in extreme poverty in the rural areas of Santiago de Cuba.
Yankiel Fernández, coordinator of the Proyecto Humanitario Aliento de Vida, shared on Facebook the moments when residents of villages in the Sierra Maestra and other remote areas of Santiago de Cuba benefited from the donations.
