Tractor Crashes into Home in Santiago de Cuba

A tractor crashed into the porch of a house this Tuesday after losing its brakes while descending a hill in Santiago de Cuba. The pavement was wet at the time of the accident, which heightened the danger. Fortunately, there were no injuries or fatalities as a result of the incident, but there were material losses, as clearly shown in images shared on social media by journalist Yosmany Mayeta Labrada.

The accident occurred on Ramón Ruiz Street between Palau and Avenida 12 de Agosto. At the moment of the crash, the tractor driver was descending the hill known to locals as "the Hill of the Policlínico López Peña."

Eyewitness Accounts

"It happened at the corner of my house. During a downpour, the tractor lost its brakes. Now they are with the police," reported a local resident.

Another commenter suggested that the driver possibly aimed for the porch intentionally, seeing no one was there and as a last resort while going downhill.
